What it is
Cap is screen recording and async video: record your screen - with camera and voice if you want - and share a link the other person opens in their browser. Instant mode gives a shareable link the moment you stop; Studio mode records locally for polished demos with backgrounds, zoom and captions. It replaces Loom, and on Brundo your recordings live on your own instance.
What you'd be replacing
Replaces Loom for screen recording and async video - with recordings kept on your own instance or S3-compatible storage, not a vendor's cloud.
What you get
- Instant share links
- Studio mode local 4K editing
- Screen + camera capture
- AI titles, summaries & transcripts
- Timestamped comments
- Loom importer
- Your own S3 / self-hosted storage
- macOS & Windows apps
Good to know
Deep viewer analytics and some enterprise team features are lighter than Loom's. For everyday demos, bug reports and async updates it's more than enough.
